Folk FestivALE: The spirit of the Richmond Folk Festival in a can!

August 30, 2017

The first sign that the Richmond Folk Festival is near isn’t the falling of the leaves or the dropping of the temperatures – it’s the brewing of the festival’s signature beer.

Folk FestivALE, the official beer of the Richmond Folk Festival, has hit the shelves at several fine local shops and restaurants.

The beer is distributed by Loveland Distributing Co., a locally based business and a longtime supporter of the Richmond Folk Fest.

“Last year, we partnered with Champion and Loveland Distributing to release Folk FestivALE to the public, and we learned that people loved to experience the festival’s signature beer before and even after the festival itself.” says Lisa Sims, Executive Director of Venture Richmond. “It’s a really good way to get into the spirit of the Folk Fest.”

Champion opened its first brewpub in Richmond earlier this year.

“We love our partnership with the Folk Festival,” Hunter Smith President & Head Brewer of Champion Brewing said. “Very cool to brew this beer again as we start working on our first ones in Richmond this week.”

“It’s a really good way to get into the spirit of the Folk Fest.”
