Capital One In the Schools
Through the generous support of Capital One, the Richmond Folk Festival will fill Richmond city school auditoriums and classrooms with performances and presentations of deeply-rooted cultural expressions.
The week prior to the festival master musicians and artists including Vieux Farka Toure, San Jose Taiko, Mark Halata, Nadeem Dlaikan and Friends, Grupo Cimarron, Ernesto Gomez and David Amoroso and Eddie and Alonzo Pennington will visit 14 public elementary and middle schools. Together, the artists and students share music, song, craft, stories and memories that will last a lifetime.
